📌 QUICK ANSWER

A good Agra Mathura Vrindavan itinerary puts Krishna's Mathura and Vrindavan on one day and Agra's Taj and Fort on another, adding the Braj villages of Govardhan, Barsana and Gokul on a third day for devotees. Times follow the aarti and the crowd, not a strict clock. Experience My India plans and guides all three from ₹5,999 per person. WhatsApp +91 7302265809.

I am Gurudutt, born in Gokul, guiding Braj since 2018. Below are the plans I actually run, written in time of day rather than a stopwatch, because Braj moves on aarti and crowd.

See the full guided itinerary, get yours →

1 day itinerary (from Delhi)

  • Early pickup from Delhi, drive to Agra on the expressway.

  • Taj Mahal and Agra Fort in the morning.

  • Drive north to Mathura, darshan at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi  and a glimpse of Vishram Ghat.

  • On to Vrindavan for Banke Bihari and, as the lamps come on, the Prem Mandir light show.

  • Return to Delhi by night.

A full, fast day. You see the headline sights without lingering anywhere.

2 day itinerary

  • Day one, Agra. Taj Mahal on a clear morning, Agra Fort and if time allows the Baby Taj and Mehtab Bagh. Drive to Braj in the evening and stay overnight.

  • Day two, Mathura and Vrindavan. Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish and Vishram Ghat in Mathura . Then Vrindavan for Banke Bihari, ISKCON, Radha Raman and the Prem Mandir light show after dark.

3 day itinerary (the devotee's plan)

  • Day one, Mathura and Vrindavan. Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish, Vishram Ghat, then Banke Bihari, ISKCON, Radha Raman and Prem Mandir.

  • Day two, the Braj villages. Govardhan, where pilgrims do parikrama, circling the hill and never climbing it ; Radha Kund and Kusum Sarovar; Barsana, the hill village tied to Radha; and Gokul, the cradle of Krishna's infancy .

  • Day three, Agra. An early Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the Baby Taj or Mehtab Bagh if time allows, then the road home.

🪔 Tip from Gurudutt: keep the Taj for a clear morning and remember it is closed on Fridays. If your trip touches a Friday, I make that a Braj temple day and the Taj waits.

Itinerary notes that matter

  • Darshan at every temple is free; only the Taj ticket in Agra is paid, to the government.

  • Banke Bihari closes for a midday break and reopens in the evening and its timings shift between summer and winter, so I confirm them on the day.

  • Vrindavan's inner lanes are closed to cars during the rush; the last stretch is by e-rickshaw or on foot.

  • The Yamuna is sacred and also polluted today, so we take darshan and aarti at the ghat rather than bathing.

  • There is no official VIP darshan pass at Banke Bihari and no daily Mangala Aarti there except on rare festival days.

"We booked the Same Day Agra Mathura Vrindavan Tour with Experience My India for our family trip from Delhi. Gurudutt Ji managed the itinerary exceptionally well, allowing us to visit the Taj Mahal in the morning and complete darshan at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Banke Bihari Temple, and Prem Mandir by evening. The driver was experienced, punctual, and very helpful throughout the journey. Everything was well-planned, and we never felt rushed despite covering multiple destinations."

"We selected the 3 Days Agra Mathura Vrindavan Tour Package because we wanted enough time to experience both Agra's heritage and Braj's spiritual atmosphere. Gurudutt Ji planned every detail perfectly, including hotel stays, sightseeing, and temple visits. The highlights of our journey were the Taj Mahal sunrise visit, the evening aarti at Prem Mandir, and completing Govardhan Parikrama. The driver was highly professional, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations."

Radha Damodar Temple Vrindavan: The Giriraj Shila, the Goswami Samadhis and Prabhupada's Bhajan Kutir — Mathura Vrindavan — Experience My IndiaTemple Guide

Radha Damodar Temple Vrindavan: The Giriraj Shila, the Goswami Samadhis and Prabhupada's Bhajan Kutir

Radha Damodar Temple in Vrindavan, founded in 1542 by Jiva Goswami, is one of the seven Goswami temples and one of the most spiritually charged small temples in the town, holding the Giriraj Govardhan shila that bears the mark of Krishna's own foot, the samadhis of Rupa Goswami and Jiva Goswami, and the bhajan kutir where Srila Prabhupada lived before he carried Krishna consciousness to the world. Devotees circle the Giriraj shila here because it is held that four rounds of it equal one full Govardhan parikrama. Entry and darshan are completely free. It is quiet, meditative, and easy to miss, which is exactly why a guide helps. To book, call or WhatsApp +91 7302265809.

Shri Radha Raman Temple Vrindavan: The Self Manifested Deity, Timings and History

Shri Radha Raman Temple in Vrindavan, established in 1542 by Gopala Bhatta Goswami, is one of the seven principal Goswami temples of the town, and its deity is swayambhu, self manifested from a shaligram stone rather than carved. It holds a unique place in history: it is the only one of the seven original Vrindavan deities that was never moved away during Aurangzeb's time, so it has stayed in unbroken worship on this spot for nearly five centuries. Entry and darshan are completely free. The temple kitchen fire, lit at the founding, has never gone out. To book, call or WhatsApp +91 7302265809.

Seva Kunj: The Grove Where Krishna Served Radha, by a Braj Born Guide

Seva Kunj, also called Nikunj Van, is the sacred grove in Vrindavan where Shri Krishna is believed to have served Radha Rani after the raas: pressing her feet, braiding her hair and adorning her, which is why it is called the garden of service. It is open daily in a morning session and an evening session, entry is free, and like Nidhivan it closes after the evening aarti, because Brajwasis hold that the divine couple remain here through the night.
