Trip Highlights
This two-day tour conveniently separates out the sites into Day 1 for the Braj region and Day 2 for Agra and makes for a more enjoyable experience than trying to visit all three sites on the same day.
On Day 1, Mathura provides the first spiritual site of the trip with Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish Temple and Vishram Ghat, all part of the Braj experience.
Day 1 also includes Vrindavan but is planned for after lunch (the afternoon), which is better suited for the atmosphere of a temple and allows for greater ease of movement in the evening versus travelling during the heat of the day.
Day 1 includes both the Banke Bihari Temple and ISKCON Temple as the two most popular temples among those making a short stop in Vrindavan.
The Prem Mandir is a highlight of Day 1 when it is lit up at night and, along with its unique carvings and the fountain show, provides for the most memorable ending to the day.
Day 2 starts with a visit to Agra in order to provide for a better paced visit to the Taj Mahal during the morning hours, which provide the best conditions for visiting the Taj Mahal.
Along with visiting the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj provide for a well-rounded trip by providing for multiple experiences other than just a visit to the Taj Mahal.
The itinerary is based on actual road timing, patterns of waiting for service and level of comfort travelling by vehicle and is therefore suitable for couples, families and weekend visitors.
