This is the complete version most people picture: Delhi out, Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, then across to Mathura and Vrindavan for darshan, and back. Agra to Braj is only 55-60 km on the Yamuna Expressway, which is what makes the four-city loop practical rather than punishing - the two halves of the trip are closer together than either is to Delhi.

When to Go

October to March is the kind season - the Taj at a bearable temperature, the Braj mornings cool enough to walk. December and January bring dawn fog on the Yamuna Expressway, so we push the start to 6:30 am and drive it slow rather than blind. April to June is honest heat; we move the Taj to first light and keep the afternoons for the car. The marble, for what it is worth, is most beautiful in the wet grey light just after monsoon rain.

The Truth About “VIP Darshan” and Taj “Skip-the-Line”

Banke Bihari has no public paid queue-jump - access runs on the temple's sevayat system, and what we provide is timing and a coordinator with you, not access we are selling.

The Taj Mahal does sell a legitimate ticket upgrade: the ASI charges extra for entry to the main mausoleum, and tickets are bought online from the official ASI portal. That is a real government charge we pass through at cost with the receipt - not a private “VIP” service. Anyone selling you Taj “skip-the-line” for a cash markup outside the gate is not authorised.

Honest, well-timed access at both ends. Not a queue-jump that does not exist.

Common Concerns Before You Book

“Can we really do Taj plus Braj in two days?”

Yes, comfortably, if the day is planned around the Taj's Friday closure and Banke Bihari's midday break. The one-day version is real but it is 16 hours.

“Are the monument tickets included?”

No - Taj, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri entry is paid separately, because the ASI prices change and we pass them at cost. Everything else is in the price.

“Is Agra vegetarian like Braj?”

Braj is entirely vegetarian. Agra is not - you will find both, and the hotels handle satvik, Jain and no-onion-no-garlic requests with a day's notice. If pure-veg matters for the whole trip, tell us and we pick Agra restaurants and hotels accordingly.

“We have elderly parents.”
